The type of personal information we collect, how we get it and why we have it

Every website is a collection of files that are stored on a computer called a server. Our website is hosted by Wix.com and uses its servers.

When you purchase a product from our online store, you use the financial services platform Square, which also uses its own servers to enable the transaction to take place.

Our business email addresses are provided by 123 Reg, who use their own servers to provide a webmail address service for our business.

Wix.com, Square and 123 Reg process data on our behalf and are known as data processors. Celtic Calm and Wellbeing is the data controller, because we decide what the purposes are for having your personal information.

When you interact with our website, and correspond with us via webmail, the following types of personal information are collected:

  • Identity information: name, postal address, email address, phone number.

  • Device information: IP address.

  • Financial information: bank account and payment card details.

Identity and financial information are provided directly by you. Device information is collected automatically when you access our website, using cookies (see our cookie policy below).

We use the information for the following purposes:

  • To provide you with the products ordered to fulfil the contract

  • To enable payment information to be processed

  • To screen orders for potential fraud or risk

  • To arrange shipping

  • To provide you with order confirmation

  • To provide customer support

  • To enable customers to subscribe to our products

  • To comply with our legal obligations

  • To administer and protect our business, including the raising and defending of legal action

  • To understand how our customers use our products

  • To develop and grow our business

  • To inform our marketing strategy and, where customers consent, to share with them information or advertising related to similar products.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), we have to identify the lawful basis we rely on for processing this information. Those bases are:

  • Contractual obligation

  • Our legitimate interests, which do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms.

In relation to our marketing activities, we rely on your consent, which can be withdrawn at any time by contacting us via the details set out at the beginning of this policy. Every marketing communication includes the option to withdraw your consent.

We do not collect special category information, e.g., health, and where you choose to provide us with this information, the legal basis on which we hold it is your explicit consent. You can withdraw your consent at anytime by contacting us, using the details set out above.
